Part of being a lifestyle brand is engaging with other beautiful brands that walk hand in hand with our elegant, coastal style. We know that a home is comprised of pieces from many different places, and its important to us that our product will not just stand out from the rest – but we want to make sure our pieces compliment the rest as well. We have found that the coastal inspirations and whimsy of Spartina 449 are truly complimentary to the Emily McCarthy style.

Do you love Emily’s scarf in the very first photo? It’s darling and it’s even more precious because it’s a scarf with the map of Savannah on it. Click either of the images above to make sure it’s in your wardrobe!

We hosted a sip and shop event at Spartina 449’s downtown Savannah location at the end of October and had such a fun experience. The baubles, the totes, the devotion to seaside life – it truly aligns itself with all of our favorite things! How gorgeous is this store?

Emily McCarthy + Spartina 449

We see the girl with signature style who can’t get enough of a great classic, brown cross body bag. Inside it she has a journal to keep all of her fresh and exciting ideas about her passion. The Spartina 449 Savannah map journal tugs at our heart strings, because it’s so important to keep home close to you no matter where you are. She never leaves the home without a bit of sparkle and a bit of sass. Spot cheetah around her neck is a must!

She’s also the kind to have her folded notes closeby so that no matter what adventure she’s on, she’s sending love to those who fill her heart the most.

What else do you love from Spartina 449?

It’s 2017, and we couldn’t possibly think this year was any more gorgeous. How could it not be? Last year was our biggest and best year ever here at The Shoppe. The Emily McCarthy brand reached new heights and expanded to new countries. Our team grew from just three, to eight! It’s impossible to put into words how incredible it feels to know that we have another year in store, that can be just as big… if not bigger.

What has stayed the same, however, is our commitment to creating content and irreverent design. There will never be a pattern or item that you can get at our shoppe that hasn’t been carefully curated and born just for you and yours. We want your home to feel branded, your life to feel elegant, and your world to be enhanced because we are in it. We live in a world of sparkle and possibility.

We look back at 2016 and see COLOR! Vibrant color in every way. From our beautiful collaboration with Style Me Pretty Living and our favorite boozy ice cream social, especially. (We still cannot get enough of the flavored Cathead vodkas when making signature cocktails.) The addition of our Kate Spade pieces set this apart as one of our favorite, and tastiest, shoots to date. You definitely want to re-visit the post and have as much fun as we did! Click, click!

From pillows, to trays, to tea towels – we love to see a home outfitted and elevated in this pattern. To see all the gorgeous details of this shoot, read the full post here.

Life is better with your friends, so we teamed up with Moon & Lola to create a brand new set of products for you. This collaboration went hand in hand with the introduction of the newest font that Emily created – Woven. We were able to display this beautiful font on bracelets, key chains, necklaces, cake toppers, and even Christmas tree ornaments just to name a few. engage2016

Emily was able to join Engage 2016 at Sea Island. The wedding industry is a passion of hers, and it’s a passion here at the Shoppe. holidaypapershoppe

And look here, a dream come true for Emily! We introduced the Holiday Paper Shoppe. Now anyone can inject their holiday cards with a higher level of elegance than ever before. Emily spent countless hours designing and perfecting these customizable holiday cards for you to send to all of your loved ones. High quality paper and gorgeous layouts mean that your cards are easily the most fun and chic to give and receive any holiday season! We hope you’re already excited for your 2017 holiday cards.

The gang was all present to cut the ribbon and clink glasses!

Perhaps the most special moment of all – we opened our brick and mortar store. The emerald green doors weren’t just the way to enter into the shoppe – they were a beacon of light showing us what hard work can achieve. There is no dream too big. That, we believe whole heartedly. Cheers to 2017.

We have been so honored to be included in several gift guides this season, the most recent being Redbook. In the November 2016 issue, you’ll see all of the most wonderful ideas for a happy holiday. Our custom lucite tray, in our eyes, is the real star of the show! We couldn’t agree more with the sentiment, “No last minute scramble. Just the most thoughtful, personal gifts ever.”

Our lucite trays vary in size and can be taken in so many directions and color ways. Use one for your baubles with a multi-spot cheetah pattern, and serve your drinks on another with a custom monogram.

Click here to begin customization for everyone on your gift list.

We have been a little quite around the shoppe and studio lately – and there is good reason why! Hurricane Matthew arrived to Savannah with a vengeance and we hunkered down to protect our homes and beautiful city. Just this past week, we were able to start trickling back to our businesses and homes – some damaged immensely. We consider ourselves extremely lucky – we had very minimal damage and a week without power. Compared to the loss that some families endured, we are thankful to be here and with a roof over our heads.

14479821_10154109643047987_5447767362429617570_n 14495285_10154109643062987_5295610617109805022_n(We boarded up our house before leaving for the Hurricane)

The storm rolled in Friday afternoon and we decided to wait it out by staying in Savannah. We felt safe and secure at my in-laws due to the construction of their home – it was definitely built to withstand hurricane-strength storms. We awoke Saturday morning to find a city of destruction. Our beautiful Savannah was hit hard. Very hard. We have spent the last week repairing the damage, clearing roads and restoring power (thanks to thousands of power company linemen that traveled from all over the United States – and my husband!) We were able to return home from many nights with family when we regained power at our home Thursday afternoon.

Needless to say, we are GLAD to be home!

We decided to uplift spirits and create a moment of Joy in the Shoppe this week with a Power Party! We had coffee, treats and a place for our favorite guests to join together for a happy celebration.

I was feeling extra thankful today so I thought I would share with everyone. These past couple of weeks has helped us focus on the things that really matter. Not our possessions, not material things, but the moments we are spending together making memories. We have each other and that’s the only thing we really need in this world.

What are you thankful for? Who is in your life that you couldn’t imagine your life without?

Go tell them….today!

I’ll close with one of my favorite inviteJOY cards from the Shoppe:

Why “lose” or “draw” when you can just always win? That’s what we think! Have you seen our brand new custom card deck options? Literally, the gift for the hostess who thinks she might just have everything. If hyperbole can be excused for this instance: we’re actually obsessed with these decks!

The perfect gift for a college student, male or female. We know they’ll get a lot of use… and, in fact, we’d get that student two decks in case one gets (ahem) spilled on.

Call me Ginger Spice… but I’m really into girl power. I’m thrilled to share with you a brand new book release (which oozes girl power) by fellow entrepreneur Julianne Taylor, Creative Director + Founder of Taylor Burke Home. { Publisher: Fashion + Décor Publishing }”Who is this for?” you might ask. As noted by Traditional Home’s own Tori Mellott, its “For every woman who’s ever entertained the thought of starting her own business in the field of design… Not just another pretty coffee table book, Julianne Taylor’s colorful and helpful compendium of insight for making it in the design world will always be on the top of your pile as you’ll be referencing it over and over again!”

What’s even more fun is that I was chosen to be a part of this book. To be able to share my experience, my vision, and speak on my passions is one of my greatest joys in life. Thank you so much, Julianne for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful, forward thinking creation.
