We have been so honored to be included in several gift guides this season, the most recent being Redbook. In the November 2016 issue, you’ll see all of the most wonderful ideas for a happy holiday. Our custom lucite tray, in our eyes, is the real star of the show! We couldn’t agree more with the sentiment, “No last minute scramble. Just the most thoughtful, personal gifts ever.”

Our lucite trays vary in size and can be taken in so many directions and color ways. Use one for your baubles with a multi-spot cheetah pattern, and serve your drinks on another with a custom monogram.

As many of you already know, there’s no holiday quite like St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah – or in the life of a Savannah McCarthy in particular! This year was so much fun to continue the tradition in the parade and have the entire family surrounding us.

Since it was Lillian’s very first St. Patrick’s Day, it was extra special to see her light up at the parade. Rhett, of course, was a proud Big Brother showing off his veteran parade status. Each year we grow to treasure this tradition more and more!

Every March 17th, has plenty of events leading up to it keeping the McCarthy plan rooted in family and heritage. It’s more than tacky shamrock sweaters and green beer for us, it’s a celebration of generations. Each year the entire family walks in the Savannah parade, and beforehand we make it a point to stop for a mimosa or Bloody Mary at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. Once the parade is over, we don’t bother with downtown shenanigans. We all make our way to the family matriarch’s house on the marsh and and have lunch together. Just us, no mardi gras beads in sight!

Year after year I can’t wait to see how Rhett and Lillian come to value this day as I have come to value it.

What are some of your favorite St. Patrick’s Day traditions, or family traditions in general?

Already looking forward to next year!

Just like prosecco can be jazzed up with a splash of limoncello, classic holiday decor also deserves a delightful twist.  Such was the inspiration behind our latest holiday tablescape idea.

Sarah Buck Photography joined us at Cohen’s Retreat to showcase a truly chic table that mixes patterns to keep you up to date, but rooted in tradition.

You know what we always say at the studio? “Have ingenuity.” This is exactly what you can employ to create your own masterpiece. The spot cheetah napkins are in a first place tie along with the monogrammed china for the most eye-catching pieces on the table. (Both items are available upon further inquiry with with shoppe!) As is in our nature to bring a look completely together, you can continue the theme with the Lisi Lerch Tassel Necklace in Gold (seen on Emily). Naturally, Everbloom made a floral arrangement to be marveled at.

The dramatic red tablecloth was furnished from Ranco Tent Rentals and Savannah Special Events, while the tartan overlay was a blanket from Home Goods. The stemware was another lucky purchase at Home Goods. The personalized place markers attached to the stems are from Michael’s. Whereas the gold chargers pictured are from Emily’s personal collection, you can find similar here. Your final stop would be to add your own flair like we did by including these fun “Merry Christmas” ornaments from Hobby Lobby at each place setting. We love to add a little dazzle!

Another Christmas season is upon us, and that’s enough reason to celebrate! Among all the holly reds and mistletoe greens, how will your tablescape make its own impression? We’ve decided to think outside the box(wood!) this year by putting it right on top of the table. Take a look at the new classes – a Citrus Boxwood Christmas table that will be a departure from the ordinary, just like you.

Colorful details create the light feel and clean lines any modern hostess is striving for. Topiaries, Boxwood, and wreaths created custom by Everbloom. Green china is a vintage family heirloom while green glasses were purchased from Home Goods and orange chargers were a steal from Hobby Lobby. Table cloth from Ranco Tent Rentals and Savannah Special Events sets the whole scene. Proof that a delicate mix of old and new, no matter the price point, will set you apart.

Shoppe MVPs, the signature monogrammed linen napkins are featured on this one-of-a-kind table. Another shoppe favorite seen in this post , as modeled by Emily, is our Palm Beach Tassel Necklace.

Unique place cards were created by hand painting names on plain wine glasses. Minimal cost with great impact is key for entertaining multiples! Everything was photographed on location at Cohen’s Retreat by Sarah Buck Photography.

Will you opt for this modern, off-the-beaten-path look this holiday season? Do tell!

We’ve found pieces you’ll want to run errands in, and run the bar cart in. Which one is your favorite?

You’ve already chosen your menu, pressed your linens, and decided on the perfect bottle white wine help you dedicate your toast. Thanksgiving is a precious time for us, and we’d love to share some ideas that bring our family closer together. These are impactful, and best of all – cost nothing but the love in your heart.

1.In my family, we create a “Blessings Jar” dedicated to the patriarchs of our family. Each of us will write reasons we feel blessed to have the member of honor in their lives. On Thanksgiving we share the jar with the recipients, and it’s always the highlight of the day. This will surely make your day even more memorable.

2. A way to interact with each guest at your holiday table is to place everyone’s name in a jar and pass it around. Each person will choose a name and then share a reason or two why they are thankful for the person whose name they’ve chosen. It’s an easy activity and will be special for everyone on your guest list.

3. We typically always have some extra ingredients that we over-bought to prepare the big meal. This year, think about taking those extras and creating one more dish than you need. Then, take this dish to a local business whose employee’s are working instead of at home, drop it off at a hospital, or a local homeless shelter. This small act of kindness will be immeasurable in the eyes of the recipients. To be able to share your blessings is truly one of the grandest ways to give thanks.

Being thankful never goes out of style. Stay classic.

A signature look is all in the details. We can’t get enough of the simplicity and elegance while sticking to a classic color scheme with a pop of sass. Leopard is our favorite neutral around here while black and gold are the perfect palette to build a look from home decor to fancy footwear.
